Bowaters Models is pleased to present the latest in our BME series of kits. BME-003 Bowaters Paper Railway Bagnall 0-6-2T ‘Superb’. This kit will be available on both 32mm/45mm gauge track and will be 16mm scale. The kit will be a Multimedia kit. The Prototype engine saw service on the Bowaters Paper Railway from 1940 to 1969 before being loaned to the Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway. When the railway went through a period of uncertainty, the engine was donated to the railway where it continues to operate as part of the heritage fleet. This kit makes a perfect companion for our range of Bowaters and SKLR Kits. Please note, this kit can be used to represent both the older members of the class Alpha and Triumph. As this locomotive has been operational for 77 years at the time of writing (September 2017), this kit is a perfect match for both our Bowaters Range and our Sittingbourne Range. The engine will also go perfectly with our BME-001 ‘The Tank’ and the Accucraft Live Steam Engines. Should this kit be a success, we do have plans for a second Sittingbourne engine which will be in the form of Kerr Stuart 0-4-2ST ‘Melior’.
